

Working on our own or with other Lions Clubs in the Greater Vancouver Regional District we champion fundraising projects which allow us to raise the money for the various projects we support.

Belt Sander Drag Races
Held annually during the Steveston Salmon Festival on July 1, we sponsor and work this event and raise money through sponsorships. Join us for the 10th Annual Belt Sander Drag Races in the Steveston Community Center Tennis Courts July 1, 2009, bring the kids and join in the fun. Car Rally
2001 was our inaugural year for this annual event, which combines driving, navigation and fun to raise money for deserving chariites. This year's event will be held on at at yet to be determined weekend in September and will start at a time/place indicated in the promotional information found at the link on the left. Christmas Cake Sales
During the Christmas season, we sell high quality Christmas Pound cakes. These cakes come in a beautiful decorative tin. If you are interested in buying pound cakes for Christmas 2008, please send email to: Cake Chairman
Christmas Tree Sales
In the spirit of cooperation with the Vancouver South Lions Club, we help with construction of the lot (at 41st and Fraser) and sales of the trees. Each member is encouraged to spend some time working the lot to help all the eager tree shoppers with their selections. The Vancouver Lions provide a wide range of tree types from the Charlie Brown tree to the beautiful Noble Fir. The lot goes up at the beginning of December (Dec 1 10am to 10pm) and closes just before Christmas. .

Sockeye Run
With the joining of the Steveston and Richmond Lions Clubs, Richmond Lions are now running this annual show and shine event held in the historic village of Steveston. The date is always the last Sunday of May. For more details see: http:\\www.stevestonlions.com/sockeye.htm.
