The Belt Sander Drag Race was a popular and entertaining event that the Richmond Lions organized with the support of several local sponsors. Unfortunately, organizing and manning race events was a huge undertaking for a small club and with only minimal returns through donations. As a club we determined we could not maintain the event and for the time being it has been put aside.

10th Annual Belt Sander Drag Race

Our 10th annual Belt Sander Races will be run at the Steveston Salmon Festival again this year.

This sponsored event allows us to have some fun in the community while raising money at the same time. The kids have a blast racing Dad's sander, or just rent one of ours for a small donation.

The sponsorship money we have raised in the past has gone to local Make-a-Wish wishes, Basics for Babies, and other local causes.
