Richmond Center for Disability
The Richmond Lions club has been a long time supporter of the Richmond Center for Disability. Each year we donate money to the RCD summer camp. This year we pledged $15,000 toward the purchase of two super computers and five years of software subscriptions to packages such as the Adobe suite of productivity tools and Microsoft Office. With these computers, RCD clients will have the opportunity to train one up-to-date machines with the latest software.

Sharing Farm
The Richmond Sharing Farm has been providing residents of Richmond with fresh, nutritious food, and teaching seminars to show people how to grow and prepare food for themselves. The Richmond Lions club has been a proud support of the Sharing Farm for many years.

Richmond Working Poor

The city of Richmond working poor fund identifies families in the city of Richmond who could use use a little financial assistance with the Christmas season.
Once families are recognized toys and gift certificates are purchased. Typically, children receive gifts in the $50- $60 range and the parents receive a Save-On-Foods gift certificate to aid with the purchase Christmas dinner.
This year, in collaboration with the employees at Epson Canada's research center, the Richmond Lions club was able to present city Councillor McNulty with a cheque for $2200. This should help some fourteen or so families in the Richmond area have a better Christmas.

Moquiro B - this is a rare and devastating disease. Like many rare diseases it doe not receive much funding, however some of the most advanced research in the world is taking place at our own UBC. The Priest family approached the Richmond Lions to donate to this research and we have every year.
