J.S. "Bud" Dorfman

July 26 1936 - March 16 2008

Bud left us sooner than expected, leaving a legacy of community service as an example for all. Throughout his lifetime he was actively involved in The Richmond Lions Club, Port Coquitlam Kinsmen, Bnai Brith (Jewish Holiday Food Bank), coaching football and cheering his beloved BC Lions. His memories are treasured by his children Shawna, Jeffrey (Pauline), Debbie and Marni (Jeremiah) Katz, and his sister, Carole Jeffries (Winnipeg). He delighted in tales of his grandchildren, in Toronto - Yonah, Coby, Ariel and Eitan Dorfman, Steven Korn, and in Vancouver, Rubi and Avi Katz. The past 13 years were filled with travel and adventures, far and wide, with his partner Janet Kolof. We will all miss Bud's infectious smile and zest for life. The family would like to thank the amazing team at VGH ACE 11D for keeping Bud smiling and comfortable, and Dr. Harvey Halperin for his special care. Donations in Bud's memory may be made to the Louis Brier Home and Hospital - 604-261-5550 - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
